Payson 10th Ward Missionary Coordination:
HE IS RISEN
It is very important that all the following people are at the stake coordination meetings! The following includes the Ward Mission Leader, Stake High Councilor over missionary work, Stake Relief Society Representative over Missionary work, Elders Quorum and Relief Society Representative over Missionary work, Primary presidency representatives, and one Young Men’s and Young Women’s representative. This is guidance we have received from our mission leadership to best coordinate with each ward. Your attendance is very appreciated no matter the amount of work there is in your ward.
Our Assigned Coordination Meetings will continue as follows.
2nd/4th Sundays. Payson 10th 4:00-4:15– Payson 10th Ward –
Following is what our Full Time missionaries are accomplishing with their efforts in our ward. We must step up and help with all these individuals. And I am so overjoyed in knowing that each of you will do the best that you possibly can to further the gathering of Israel in the Payson 10th Ward.–
– Payson 10th Ward –
Shayden & Swayden
- Bio: They are twin boys who live in Spanish Fork. They come over to their grandmas every Sunday for church and every Wednesday for lessons.
- Organization: Young Mens
- Last Contact: We had a lesson with Shayden and talked about the importance of reading the Book of Mormon and praying. We talked with Cheryl a little, too, about what the twins’ mom is expecting. She is going to try to get the mom to allow them to be baptized on Cheryl’s birthday in June.
- Next Step: We will continue meeting with them and try to pass them off to the Senior Missionaries, until their mom allows them to be baptized.
Zander
- Bio: Zander lives with both his parents in the condos. Parents are members but not active. Zander has some health struggles that he is trying to overcome, but wants to learn more about Christ!
- Organization: Primary
- Last contact: We stopped by at a bad time for Tiffany, but we were able to find out that her surgery wasn’t actually this week. She had a doctor’s visit on Wednesday to schedule the surgery, though.
- Next Step: We have informed the Relief society president about her and helping get meals to her would be great!
Marian
- Bio: Marian has been meeting with us for a couple weeks! She has a really big desire to go to the temple because she never had the opportunity. She has been keeping every commitment we have extended to her and has been going to church!
- Organization: Relief Society
- Last Contact: We taught her the stop smoking lesson and stopped by a few times to check in. She’s doing really well! Even Jodi helps remind her not to smoke!
- Next Step: Keep stopping by and helping her in her efforts to stop smoking! Then try to get Jodi to stop!
Jordan and Josh
- Bio: Jordan and Josh moved in from Texas not too long ago. Josh is well versed in the Bible and the Book of Mormon and has met with missionaries a lot in the past. Jordan is less versed in it, but still likes us around. They have 3 kids all under the age of 8. Josh believes a lot of the same things we do.
- Organization: Elder’s Quorum and Relief Society
And late yesterday we received this text message from the missionaries:
“Hey, we just wanted to let you all know that we’ve stopped by the braithwaits and are now teaching Krew! He’s 9 and asked to meet with us! He is planning on coming to church this sunday, too!”
I cannot thank each of you enough for your willingness to serve.
Please remember this calling came from the Lord through the Bishop.
We encourage you to find 15- 30 minutes a week to make contact with any of your assigned families. Bake cookies, take things from gardens, drop off birthday cards, Easter Treats. Send a text message, make a phone call .
Just make some effort to show the Lord you are willing to serve Him. Show the Lord that you Love HIM. Ask the Lord for directions, and HE will inspire you to build these friendships. Whether you are a Husband and Wife team, or just assigned to serve by yourself. The good Lord will always be your companion as you endeavor to do HIS work.
I hope you enjoy the following little article about LOVE. OUT OF THE MOUTH OF BABES
What does love mean? A group of professional people posted this question to a group of 4 to 8-year-olds. “What does love mean?”
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined:
When my grandma got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandpa does it for her now all the time, even when his hands got arthritis, too. Rebecca age 8
When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouths. Billy age 4.
Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving Cologne and they go out and smell each other. Kari age 5.
Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs. Chrissy age 6.
Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired. Terri age 4.
Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK. Danny age 7.
Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My mommy and daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss. Emily age 8.
Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen. Bobby age 7.
(wow!) If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate. Nikka age 6.
Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt; then he wears it every day. Noelle age 7.
Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well. Tommy age 6.
During my piano recital, I was on stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn’t scared anymore. Cindy age 8.
My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don’t see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night. Clare age 6.
Love is when mommy gives daddy the best piece of chicken. Elaine age 5.
Love is when mommy sees daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford. Chris age 7.
Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day. Mary Ann age 4.
When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down, and little stars come out of you. Karen age 7.
Love is when mommy sees daddy on the toilet and doesn’t think it’s gross. Mark age 6.
You really shouldn’t say “I LOVE YOU” unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget. Jessica age 8.
And the winner was a 4-year-old child whose next-door neighbor was an elderly man who had just lost his wife. When the child saw the man cry, the little boy went over into the man’s yard and climbed on top of the man’s lap and just sat there. When the boy’s mother asked him what he’d said to the neighbor, the little boy said, “Nothing, I just helped him cry.”
A Missionary Thought: Today I planted a seed of truth In fertile soil; Now, I wait Through the soft rain Of Man’s inherent goodness And the warm sun Of eternal love For a sign of growth; And pray That strong roots support The first tender shoots; And bear testimony That it may flourish And wax strong And blossom And spill its own seed Again into fertile soil. * author unknown
Pray for the gift of Charity, of revelation, of discernment. Pray for courage and peace in your hearts.
Planting these seeds with others and within ourselves is our decision. Are we planting good or bad seeds? God-like seeds that will someday blossom and lead our path to Jesus Christ? Or, are we spreading seeds of eternal destruction and growing paths of evil seeds that lead us the opposite direction of Jesus Christ?

I love each of you. I witness to each of you that your Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you. They will assist you in your efforts to simply plant seeds.
Jesus is The Christ. The only begotten Son of God. He Lives!! He loves you. We are all converted to the Church. Along with me, I invite you to put in the work necessary to truly become converted to Jesus Christ.
May the good Lord bless each of you in your personal lives. May he bring peace, charity, health, revelations and the righteous desires of your hearts. And so I along with so many proclaim.
HE IS RISEN
In Jesus name Amen.
